LESBEING

Lesbeing

Im a little lesbian short and stout
Not even in the closet, im very very out.

Ive been with every school of dyke
From butch to femme, to a chick named mike.

Some might even sya I was the local bike.

But now I want to settle down,
This chick is looking for a nest.

And a loving girl with ample breast
To help turn this frown upside down.

But everytime I tell my friends,
It’s a housewife I aspire to be
They just look and laugh at me,
And say there’s plenty of fish in the G.

I’ll cook her meals
Ill wash her clothes
Ill even clean between her toes.

I want to be a housewife
Its always been my dream in life
To take a woman up the aisle
To make her laugh
To make her smile
And even make come once in a while.

In mydreams we’d build a cottage
Where we would partake in bi-monthly frottage

Some breeders might disagree
About this dream of my wife and me

They say its un natural disgusting and wrong
That I want to make this commitment life long

I say screw them, cause they’ve screwed me
With their notions, I strongly disagree

Why cant we all just be free
To have a choice
And use our voice
To say I do
Have some kids, not one but two

So to the likes of proposition 8
I say fuck you and all your hate

I put up with all the strain and strife
To get my girl and live the simple life.

It shouldn’t matter
Wheter straight or gay
Everyone should have the right to a wedding day

this is called i dont know what to call this poem, poem.

I went away for a while, tried to blend into some foreign soil.
Tried to make a place amongst some straights.
Taking notes along my routes about how the other team live.
Trying to spot the difference between his and hers, hers and hers and his and his.
But the only difference I could see was the way in which they stood, and the way they pee’d.

No matter how far I have wandered there still seems to be a rampant rage for the way we live in our world of him for him and a her for you.

More and more everyday it becomes clearer that this global village we are in, is not divided equally. Look at whats happening in Uganda and Belgrade more recently.

There is a school of thought that the world we live in is made for two, hims and hers and their baby makes three.
Is that really what make a unit and constitutes a family tree.?

I wonder have those professors, believers and preachers of the hetro way, taken a moment and spared a thought for the dads and moms of those five boys, who jumped off bridges or set off guns, because THOSE people demeaned them for being gay.

I don’t want to get bitter or twisted, I want to be more motivated and proactive because our rights internationally are being totally fisted.

So legions of lesbians and those gaggles of gays lets stand up, be counted. I think its time we had our say.

i wrote this poem tomorrow.

History will not dissolve us
The effervescence of amarach
We were born to the future

We will follow our bliss
Futures doors will open
The past has taken the piss

We are not the children of the revolution
We should be the solution
We will not be televised
We will be tweeted, blogged hash tagged
and facebook status uptodated

Lets stir shit
Lets get to grips with what is ours
Mystic Meg isn’t the only one who can see it in the stars
Pieces is dead and Aquarious beckons
Tomorrow is our reckoning

We do not masturbate on planes
We use our brains
And our feet
Our education is from our streets
those that march the blue beat
Them peelers should be after the dealers
And drop their batons from their hands
Forget about their holy lands

Recyyle what they have sown
We shall reep our own

Let us communitse not brutalize
Let us optimize.

The future is yesterdays today
Tomorrow is ours.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY...!

The curious case of the lime green VW Beatle

One of my all time fave films is SUPERSTAR with Molly Shannon. I have seen it at 50 times. On my about 3rd or 4th viewing of it i spotted that in nearly every scene that is outside there is at least one lime green beatle. I have yet to sit down and count how many times it actually appears.

The lime green VW Beatle isnt just in Superstar, its got a cameo in loads of TV shows, and on the street. I seem to being followed around by them.

I should stop noticing shit really or start noticing important stuff...!

Benders

So a few years ago i was working in hospitality and would have to order loads of different things to do with tea and coffee, and such is my capability to notice odd things in normal places i spotted that the coffee cups we used were called benders. This made me chuckle in the most childish of ways, in fact i took a photo on my phone and sent it to my mate.

Last week i was in Berlin and we were standing on the bottom platform of Ostkreuz station and we got some tea - as it was bitterly cold. I noticed that the cup was the same and voila it was a Benders cup. Again i laughed.

then last night as i tucked into a double episode of shameless i noticed that in a scene with Frank and a fellow juror there were Benders coffee cups on the table.

Just goes to show there are Benders everywhere.

i used to drive

when i drove i drove a fiat punto which myself and a few friends (Joycey, JB and Sorchaballs) decided to pimp up dyke style.

JB acquired, from a scrap yard, a C from an old Citroen.

We picked off the P and super glued (thanks to the evrything store in Ringsend) the C, so the badge would read CUNTO.

she was a stunner. my friends mike and liam thought that i should have tip exed out the A and the H in the cliath part of baile atha cliatha so it would say baile atha clit. i thought this to be to illegal.

the cunto got alot of attion, i think even Grainne Seoige has a picture on her phone.

gardai even took pictures of it, and on one famous incident beeped their horn and hollered at us.

she did get pulled in once or twice and i got a talking to, but i played dumb and stuck it to the law.

alas her last days were nigh, this time last year ago to be precise and in true girl racer style i wrote the poor old thing off.

she served me and my friends well so in true irish style we held a wake for her.

the cunto we miss you.

lol

things i spot in posters, and such

ok i'm very observant and i do love a good chuckle. so i tend to look at signs and posters and get a good giggle out of them especially when they are like the below examples.

exhibit a.

i found this gem in a halal vegtable shop off harcourt st. a few months ago. not only did me and my friends stick out like sore thumbs buying butternut squash and seasame seed bread stciks (not that nice by the by) but when i started to chuckle aloud a few heads turned.

exhibit b.

i was waiting onthe quays for my dear housemate weeney to pick me up from a rehearsal on a dreary Dublin night when i started to read to deals that the chinese buffet, Jimmy Chungs on eden quay Scotlands best buffet or something like that, well when i had stopped laughing at the Scotland part i noticed this little terms and conditions note...!

puhriceless...! and not just a tenner for all you can eat, if you get me!
